For Schools
If you’re a teacher in one of the Cambridge schools, sharing the news about Elemental with their students, helping them shape their brief applications, or supporting those attending or listening to the workshops, tell us what you think. In time, we will also be sharing resources with those teachers – and we have a dozen supporting us already – in particular a five-part writing course designed by Peter Carpenter designed to stimulate a welcoming culture for new writing in schools.
In the meantime, show your students the way. Write your own poem. Which poems about water, fire, air, earth, ether, move you, inspire you and your students, from Key Stages 2 and up? Which have worked in a class context? Share them, and we’ll find a way of sharing them with others.
These are early days for Elemental, but already we are proud to enjoy the support of Principals and Heads of English across Cambridge schools. These include Chesterton Village College, Comberton Village College, Hills Road Sixth Form College, Impington Village College, The Leys, The Stephen Perse Foundation, Witchford Village College and Kings College School, but we have room for more. If you’re a Head of English or Headteacher and want to learn more or help your students access the workshops, or benefit from Peter Carpenter’s five-part writing course, please get in touch.
